Kevin Vallejos (14-1, 0-0 UFC) vs. Seung Woo Choi (11-7, 4-6 UFC)

This should be a solid first test for Vallejos, the latest Argentinian prospect to try and make his way in the UFC. The Argentinian scene tends to churn out a lot of high-level athletes who run over weak competition, and Vallejos generally fits that mold, though a win over UFC veteran Luiz Eduardo Garagorri is a decent proof of concept for him going forward. With that backdrop, it wasn’t a shock that he was unready for Jean Silva on the 2023 edition of the Contender Series—or that he looked much better a year later, earning a UFC contract with a knockout victory. Vallejos’ UFC debut comes against Choi, who has proven consistently entertaining if not always successful.

Choi is capable of some highlight-reel knockouts, but he unfortunately seems aware of that fact. While he can fight intelligently at points, he’s also a fighter who can be lured into hunting for the big shot, which often leaves him open for getting finished in return. That looks to be the likeliest scenario here if things get wild, which they probably will. The pick is Vallejos via first-round knockout.
