By the Numbers: UFC 228

Can we get some appreciation for Tyron Woodley?

The perpetually underrated welterweight champion retained his belt with a second-round submission of Darren Till in the UFC 228 headliner at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Saturday night. Woodley’s brabo choke at the 4:19 mark of round two was his first submission triumph in professional competition since 2009. The 36-year-old known as “The Chosen One” is unbeaten in his last seven UFC appearances.

3: Finishes at 115 pounds for Andrade, who melted Kowalkiewicz with a massive right hook for the one-punch knockout -- something rarely seen in women’s MMA. That ties her with Tatiana Suarez and Paige VanZant for second-most in the history of the division behind only Namajunas (four).

1:58: Time of Andrade’s finish, making it the second-fastest knockout in UFC women’s strawweight history. Poliana Botelho owns the No. 1 spot with a 33-second body-kick KO of Syuri Kondo at UFC Fight Night 129 this past May.

22: Takedowns landed by Zabit Magomedsharipov in his last three UFC appearances. The 27-year-old Dagestani landed six of seven tries en route to tapping Brandon Davis with a kneebar 4:36 into the second round of their featherweight tilt.
