By The Numbers: Neil Magny vs. Carlos Prates

While tread on the tires may be wearing thin, Neil Magny still plays a prominent role in the Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight division.

The Elevation Fight Team mainstay will put the surging Carlos Prates to the test in the UFC Vegas 100 headliner this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Magny has alternated wins and losses in each of his past seven outings. “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 16 semifinalist last saw action on Aug. 24, when he succumbed to punches from the unbeaten Michael Morales in the first round of their UFC on ESPN 62 encounter. Prates, meanwhile, enters the cage on the strength of a career-best 10-fight winning streak. The Vale Top Team and Fighting Nerds rep last competed at UFC 305, where he put away Jinliang Li with punches in the second round of their Aug. 17 confrontation.
