Two divergent approaches mix for what should be a fun flyweight clash. A 2024 signing out of Mongolia, Tumendemberel figured to bring some excitement to the UFC roster, as evidenced by two entertaining wins in support of the promotion’s “Road to UFC” tournament in 2023. Large for the division, Tumendemberel does everything with maximum power and flashed some interesting things as a striker and a wrestler on the regional scene. Only the former held up in his UFC debut in November, as wrestling proved a constant issue against Carlos Hernandez. Tumendemberel looks to rebound from the first loss of his career here against South Korea’s Park, who won the inaugural flyweight “Road to UFC” tournament over the course of 2022 and 2023. In contrast to Tumendemberel’s wild approach, Park tends to be overly patient, though it hasn’t come back to bite him over the course of his professional career. “Peace Of Mind” lays back, waits for his spots and then usually gets a lot done in those moments, with his ground game proving particularly reliable over the course of that “Road to UFC” tournament. Tumendemberel could win this fight if he lands a few big moments of offense that outweigh anything else Park does. However, the likelier scenario seems to be the Korean taking advantage of Park’s aggression and finding moments to slow this fight down. The pick is Park via decision.
