Larissa Pacheco Says She’s Open to a Superfight with Chris Cyborg or Amanda Nunes

Larissa Pacheco wouldn’t refuse a superfight with her fellow Brazilian champions, provided the price is right.

Pacheco (20-4, 9-2 PFL) keeps a keen eye on the ever-changing mixed martial arts landscape. The 2022 Professional Fighters League women’s lightweight titleholder is ready for her next battle as she faces Amber Leibrock on June 16. While Pacheco isn’t overlooking her next opponent, she also welcomes the PFL roster expansion, which recently included former Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. Pacheco believes it's a great sign of progress for the league and sees it as an investment in athletes. The Brazilian is open to any challenge thrown her way and is focused on her career development and would welcome a potential fight with either current Bellator MMA 145-pound queen Cristiane Justino or former UFC two-division champion Amanda Nunes — hoping that she might reconsider her retirement — as both Nunes and “Cris Cyborg” are fighters Pacheco respects very much.

“I love the fact that these two names are top of the sport, and they're both Brazilian women. It makes a big difference as they are athletes I’ve looked up to always. If something was to come across in terms of a superfight, fantastic. Obviously, the main thing is that I get paid what I’m worth, and people value the fight. Other than that, really, it'll be an amazing opportunity to get something on the books with these girls that are legends.”
