Fabricio Andrade Predicts First-Round Knockout of John Lineker at One on Prime Video 3
Fabricio Andrade is just a few days away from the most important fight of his career, and brimming with confidence. Andrade (8-2, 5-0 One) will challenge current One Championship bantamweight kingpin John Lineker in the One on Prime Video 3 headliner. “Wonder Boy” is currently riding a seven-bout winning streak and earned his title shot after scoring five victories in the Singapore-based promotion. His latest three assignments have finished inside the opening frame as Andrade smashed Li Kai Wen, Jeremy Pacatiw, and Kwon Won Il. Now, the 25-year-old is confident enough to say that not even Lineker can take his shots, predicting an early finish on Oct. 21.
“He says he won't shoot [for takedowns]. Maybe, he gives the impression that he thinks I am going to shoot, but definitely I'm not shooting for takedowns in this fight. I believe once he feels my power, he’s gonna try to do anything to win. I probably gonna turn him into a wrestler. It doesn't mean he’s gonna put me down, but he'll probably try, but it won't work. I am prepared to fight for 10 rounds, but I don't believe he will be able to take all the damage that I'm gonna bring from the start of the fight. I don't think he'll be able to finish even the first round. I think I'll finish him the first.”
