Former Tachi Palace Fights promoter joins Iridium Sports Agency

(PRESS RELEASE) -- DIAMOND BAR, Calif. – Iridium Sports Agency added a different kind of depth to its growing roster today with the addition of former Tachi Palace Fights promoter Jeremy Luchau.

Luchau will take over as the Director of Fighter Development for ISA, which services over 50 mixed martial artists worldwide.

“Jeremy is a huge addition to our team,” said Iridium Sports Agency CEO Jason House, who founded ISA and helped it become one of the country’s top agencies. “People saw what he was able to do at Tachi and helped develop so many fighters getting them to the next level. It made a lot of sense for us to bring him aboard and utilize his skills.”

Luchau started his career in the MMA field unlike many others. He was a reporter for a local newspaper in Hanford, Calif. just miles away from the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino where World Extreme Cagefighting called home in the early 2000’s.

The 34-year-old was turned onto MMA with a special project where he chronicled his training with column in the Hanford Sentinel newspaper and eventually fought in the cage for the Palace Fighting Championship. He was 2-1 in his MMA career.

Luchau also spent time writing press releases for the WEC in the pre-Zuffa era and then was hired at Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino as an Entertainment Coordinator where he helped Christian Printup develop the Palace Fighting Championship.

“All of my MMA experience has been trial by fire really. I entered this sport with no combat sports background, trained, fought and then worked my way up the food chain from writing press releases, to venue setup, matchmaking, promoting, etc. You name if and I’ve done just about everything except ring girl,” Luchau said. “This is just another step in the evolution of the sport for me. I’m really excited to be part of such a great team and helping fighters with their careers is always something I’ve wanted to do.”

Luchau has spent the last eight months promoting a regional amateur MMA promotion in Central California called 559 Fights.

“Jeremy’s done some amazing things at Tachi turning that into a regional powerhouse and now with 559 Fights he has one of the best amateur promotions on the West Coast,” House said. “One of the things he knows is fighters and fights. He was always a guy I could call to get some advice from about fights.”

Luchau is a married father of four living in Selma, Calif.

“I’m blessed to be able to be part of a sport that I love and do this for a living. I have the support of my wife Lauren and my children. Through mixed martial arts I’ve met some of my best friends,” Luchau said. “This will be another great chapter in my journey through MMA and I hope I can help as many people that have helped me over the years and just continue to pay it forward.”

Luchau says his initial goal will be to help ISA strong career paths for all of its clients and help set goals and benchmarks for them to accomplish.

“Everyone’s goal is to make it to the UFC, but there’s so many steps you have to accomplish before you get there in order to be successful,” Luchau said. “I think that where I might differ is that I really want to prepare fighters to have success at the highest level and not just get to the highest level. There are plenty of tools that fighters can be given other than in the gym that will make them successful, and I think that I can help build careers and futures.”

Iridium Sports Agency currently has 12 fighters in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
