Stock in Usman continues to rise, the 29-year-old Florida-based Nigerian morphing from “Ultimate Fighter” winner into full-fledged welterweight contender. He currently finds himself on a 10-fight winning streak that has seen him carve a path through Hayder Hassan, Leon Edwards, Alexander Yakovlev, Warlley Alves, Sean Strickland and Sergio Moraes since joining the UFC roster in 2015. Usman last competed at UFC Fight Night 116 on Sept. 16, when he knocked out the aforementioned Moraes with first-round punches. Meek made his promotional debut at UFC 206 in December 2016, pocketing a three-round unanimous decision against Jordan Mein. His claim to fame: a 45-second thrashing of Rousimar Palhares in Italy a little less than two years ago.
