ShoBox Weigh-in Results: Peterkin, Kalajdzic On Weight

ShoBox: The New Generation will once again deliver another solid quadrupleheader on Friday and on the platter will be a light heavyweight showdown between contenders Radivoje Kalajdzic and Travis Peterkin in the featured bout.

Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Okla., will serve as the host property and the action will commence on Showtime beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. At Thursday’s weigh-ins, all of the main card fighters were on the money, handing the event the expected green light.

Kalajdzic (21-1, 14 KOs) is coming off the first loss of his career, a disputed decision to 2012 Olympian Marcus Brown in April. The Bosnian is aiming to get back in the win column against Peterkin and continue his ascent up the 175-pound ladder. At the scales, he weighed in officially at 175.5 pounds.

While he is undefeated, Peterkin (16-0-1, 7 KOs) is coming off his first pro fight in which he didn’t have his hand raised in victory. The Brooklynite fought to a draw with 2008 Olympian Lenin Castillo in August. He said he knows what to expect from his foe and expects greatness. He’s looking get back to winning and a day ahead of his next bout, he came in at 174 pounds.

The co-featured bout will be a super lightweight showdown between Ivan Baranchyk (11-0, 10 KOs) and Wang Zhimin (7-0, 3 KOs) over 10 rounds. Welterweight prospect Ivan Golub (12-0, 10 KOs) will clash with James Stevenson over eight rounds while heavyweight Trey Lippe Morrison (11-0, 11 KOs), the son of late former champ Tommy Morrison, will oppose Ed Latimore (13-0, 7 KOs) over six rounds in the opening bout of the telecast.
